Fabricator-welder wanted in Shasta County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Shasta County, California. You will be based on a structural steel site. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces Your main tasks: • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
