Urgent requirement: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Nicollet County, Minnesota. The job is at a busy sheet-metal workshop. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Own basic hand tools and PPE The role involves inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator.
