We are recruiting: we are hiring a meat cutter in City of Williamsburg, Virginia. You will work at a halal meat counter. You should have: • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required Day to day you will sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights; debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife; keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder. Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Pay around $16 per hour, based on your experience.
