Aluminium tig welder — Crawford County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Crawford County, Illinois. The job is at a busy sheet-metal workshop. Your main tasks: • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job You should have: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height 2+ years on the tools preferred.
