Now hiring: offshore rigger (South Carolina)

Great opportunity: we are hiring an offshore rigger in Lee County, South Carolina. Day-to-day duties: • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists Requirements: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather Six days a week, one day off.
