Urgent requirement: we are hiring an industrial sewing operator in Boone County, Missouri. The job is at a busy garment factory. Your main tasks: • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift You should have: • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
