Urgent requirement: we are hiring a fettler in Deuel County, South Dakota. The job is at an aluminium die-casting plant. You should have: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling The role involves check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects.
