Tig welder — Oconto County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a tig welder in Oconto County, Wisconsin. The job is at a stainless steel fabrication shop. The role involves: • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal What we are looking for: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings 4+ years on the tools preferred.
