Great opportunity: plant operator (Virginia)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a plant operator in City of Portsmouth, Virginia. The job is at a road and highway construction project. The role involves: • Excavate trenches for water, sewer and cable runs • Strip and stockpile topsoil ready for reuse • Backfill trenches and compact the fill in layers • Keep the cab clean and oil-free and report defects promptly • Inspect tracks, bucket teeth and pins for wear before start-up You should have: • Confident working to fine grade and tight tolerances • Good awareness of underground services and exclusion zones Full-time, day shift. Meals and transport allowance provided. $2,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
