You will rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables; top up the oil and bleed the cylinder on hydraulic lifts; carry out planned preventive maintenance and grease the guide shoes; mount and align landing doors, sills and car door operators; respond to entrapment call-outs and release trapped passengers; replace worn sheaves, rollers, contactors and relays. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift heavy components and crawl in tight spaces • Sound electrical competence in three-phase and low-voltage wiring Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. $4,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
