Mason's helper — Clay County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a mason's helper in Clay County, Iowa. You will load and unload trucks of cement, steel bar and aggregate; mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer; set out levels with line and plumb under the mason's direction; cure freshly laid concrete by sprinkling water for several days; bend and tie rebar with binding wire for slabs and columns; break out old walls and concrete with a jackhammer breaker. Ideal candidate: • Prior experience as a labourer on building or civil sites • Able to lift and carry heavy loads such as 50 kg cement bags all day Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
