Industrial sewing operator — Jefferson County

Vacancy available: we are hiring an industrial sewing operator in Jefferson County, Wisconsin. The job is on an export house sewing floor. Your main tasks: • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges Ideal candidate: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
