Sand plant operator • Glynn County, Georgia

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Glynn County, Georgia. Day to day you will skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles. Requirements: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding Rotating shifts.
