Now hiring: we are hiring a shuttering carpenter in Monongalia County, West Virginia. What we are looking for: • NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry and Joinery or equivalent • Sound knowledge of timber types, grades and fixings • Able to read technical drawings and cutting lists Day-to-day duties: • Fix studwork and plasterboard partitions • Cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet • Glue, clamp, screw and dowel joints together • Build and erect roof trusses, rafters and stud partitions • Measure and mark out timber using a tape, square and marking gauge Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Pay around $5,500 per month, based on your experience. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Rotating shifts. Contact us to fix an interview.
