Great opportunity: we are hiring a power press operator in Borough of Swindon, England. You will work at a white goods manufacturing plant. Day to day you will adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings; fit and check guards, light curtains and safety interlocks before starting; feed blanks into the die and remove formed parts; operate mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic power presses; set up and change stamping dies and tooling. You should have: • Willing to work rotating day and night shifts • Basic understanding of metal grades and thicknesses • Knowledge of press safety, guarding and lockout-tagout Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. £2,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
