Requirements: • Able to read engineering drawings and job cards • Familiar with die setting and quick tool changes • Basic understanding of metal grades and thicknesses Day to day you will check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges; punch, blank, pierce, bend and form sheet metal components; adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings; operate mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic power presses; watch for cracks, burrs, wrinkles and double-hits on parts.
