Immediate opening: we are hiring an automotive paint technician in Marshall County, Illinois. You will be based at a dealership paint shop. Ideal candidate: • Able to read and match factory paint codes • Confident with wet-sanding and machine polishing • Good eye for colour matching and blending The role involves: • Wipe down panels with degreaser and a tack cloth before spraying • Check the colour match under booth lights against the maker's swatch • Bake panels in the spray booth oven to cure the paint • Apply etch primer to aluminium and galvanised panels • Mask off trim, glass and rubber seals with tape and paper • Sand and feather-edge damaged panels before painting At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
