We are recruiting: we are hiring a dogger in Sabine County, Texas. The job is at a power plant. Day-to-day duties: • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use You should have: • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
