Steel erection rigger — Ndokwa West

Now hiring: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Ndokwa West, Delta State. You will be based at a busy construction site. Day-to-day duties: • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
