Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working at height and in confined hoistways • ITI in electrical/mechanical or an equivalent trade certificate On the job you will handle: • Set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear • Service the traction motor, brake and gearbox • Measure rope tension and check for broken strands • Install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway • Rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables $20 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
