Great opportunity: we are hiring a counter butcher in Somerset County, New Jersey. The job is in a supermarket meat department. On the job you will handle: • Debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone • Keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools • Stuff and link fresh sausages with casings • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • 2+ years experience working as a butcher Pay around $4,900 per month, based on your experience.
