Toolroom milling operator — Kodiak Island Borough

Great opportunity: we are hiring a toolroom milling operator in Kodiak Island Borough, Alaska. The job is at a precision engineering workshop. You will read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence; monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters; run first-off parts and check dimensions before batch production; apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed. What we are looking for: • Able to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron • Safety conscious and comfortable wearing PPE around moving machinery Part-time with flexible hours.
