The role involves: • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
