We are recruiting: horizontal milling machine operator (Scotland)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a horizontal milling machine operator in Glasgow City, Scotland. You will work in a CNC machining unit. Day-to-day duties: • Run first-off parts and check dimensions before batch production • Select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors • Keep in-process inspection records and log production counts • Read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence Requirements: • Safety conscious and comfortable wearing PPE around moving machinery • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron • ITI/NCVT certificate in machinist or turner trade Part-time with flexible hours. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
