Now hiring: we are hiring a nursery worker in East Carroll Parish, Louisiana. The job is on a golf course. Requirements: • Understanding of pruning and watering schedules • Able to safely operate mowers, strimmers and hedge trimmers • Previous experience as a gardener or in grounds maintenance The role involves: • Prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers • Dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds • Check and adjust sprinkler timers and irrigation heads • Rake up fallen leaves, grass clippings and garden waste • Weed flower beds and borders by hand and with a hoe 4+ years on the tools preferred.
