Core maker • City of Richmond, Virginia

We are recruiting: we are hiring a core maker in City of Richmond, Virginia. The role involves: • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings Ideal candidate: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
