Shuttering carpenter • Isles of Scilly, England

We are recruiting: we are hiring a shuttering carpenter in Isles of Scilly, England. You will be based on a bridge and flyover project. The role involves watch the formwork during concreting and tighten up any movement; check alignment with spirit level, plumb bob and string line; set up adjustable steel props and falsework to support the slab decking; apply mould-release oil to the plywood faces before concreting; fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure; de-nail, clean and stack the panels for reuse. You should have: • Able to read formwork and structural drawings • Able to keep pace with tight pour schedules Pay around £3,700 per project, based on your experience.
