MIG/MAG welder — Pulaski County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a MIG/MAG welder in Pulaski County, Illinois. You will work on a structural steel site. Requirements: • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding • ITI in welder trade or equivalent • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes Day-to-day duties: • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
