Now hiring: we are hiring a general labourer in Borough of Wigan, England. The job is on a metro and infrastructure project. Requirements: • Able to follow the mason's and supervisor's instructions • Know how to mix concrete and mortar to the right ratio The role involves break out old walls and concrete with a jackhammer breaker; load and unload trucks of cement, steel bar and aggregate; fix and strip shuttering and formwork for beams and columns; backfill and ram down soil around the foundations; set out levels with line and plumb under the mason's direction; erect and dismantle scaffolding and pass materials up. 2+ years on the tools preferred. Pay around £15 per hour, based on your experience. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time with occasional weekends. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
