Horizontal milling machine operator — Le Sueur County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a horizontal milling machine operator in Le Sueur County, Minnesota. You will be based at a fabrication and machining plant. Your main tasks: • Apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed • Carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance • Monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters • Read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence • Set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe • Set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter What we are looking for: • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron • Able to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T • 2-3 years' hands-on milling experience Full-time, day shift.
