Immediate opening: concrete finisher (Illinois)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a concrete finisher in Putnam County, Illinois. Day-to-day duties: • Set out levels with a spirit level, line and pins • Carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab • Screed and level slabs to the marked dead level and falls • Float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish • Compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing • Fix and tie reinforcement bars and mesh as per the bar bending schedule You should have: • Comfortable working at heights and on scaffolds • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods Six days a week, one day off.
