Join our team: we are hiring a plant operator in Linn County, Kansas. The job is in an open-cast mine. Day to day you will top up diesel, inspect hydraulic hoses for leaks and report defects; keep a safe distance from excavation edges and overhead lines; grease the pins, bushings and slew ring at the start of each shift; operate the boom, stick and bucket to dig, lift and place material; read site drawings and follow the batter and slope profiles. Ideal candidate: • Able to operate excavator, loader and dozer confidently • Knowledge of pre-start inspections and basic machine maintenance • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and noise 2+ years on the tools preferred.
