Tailor machinist — Carlton County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a tailor machinist in Carlton County, Minnesota. You will be based in a small denim manufacturing unit. On the job you will handle: • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension Requirements: • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
