Great opportunity: we are hiring a MIG welder in Rusk County, Texas. You will work at an automobile body shop. You will tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose; control distortion with a balanced welding sequence; bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding; read fabrication drawings and weld symbols. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings 4+ years on the tools preferred.
