Gatehouse guard — Redcar and Cleveland

Great opportunity: we are hiring a gatehouse guard in Redcar and Cleveland, England. The job is at a factory gate. Day to day you will patrol the premises on foot at fixed intervals; man the entry gate and check visitor IDs and gate passes; operate the metal detector and hand-held scanner at the door; log every visitor and vehicle in the duty register; raise the alarm and follow the evacuation drill in an emergency; hand over the duty register and brief the next shift at handover. You should have: • Trained in basic fire-fighting and first aid • Ex-servicemen preferred • 1-2 years experience as a security guard 6+ years on the tools preferred. £13 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
