We are recruiting: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Santa Clara County, California. On a typical shift you will lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover; lap and splice bars to the specified lap length; install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat; cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder; keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust. You should have: • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Pay around $2,700 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
