Now hiring: garment machinist (Oklahoma)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a garment machinist in Okfuskee County, Oklahoma. You will be based on a ready-made garment production line. On the job you will handle: • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go Requirements: • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
