Concrete placer — Northumberland County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a concrete placer in Northumberland County, Virginia. Ideal candidate: • 2+ years on RCC and concreting works • Hands-on with poker vibrators, power floats and concrete mixers • Able to read structural drawings and bar bending schedules On a typical shift you will strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength; cut control and expansion joints at the correct spacing; fix and tie reinforcement bars and mesh as per the bar bending schedule; cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days; discharge and place concrete from transit mixers and pumps into the forms; set out levels with a spirit level, line and pins.
