Great opportunity: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Bryan County, Oklahoma. The job is in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. The role involves: • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Own basic hand tools and PPE At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
