Fitter on the line wanted in City of York

Vacancy available: we are hiring a fitter on the line in City of York, England. You will be based in an electronics assembly unit. On the job you will handle: • Snap-fit plastic housings and clip in the wiring harnesses • Pack finished units with foam inserts and seal the cartons • Carry out a visual quality check for scratches, gaps and missing parts • Report jams or tool faults to the line leader straight away • Fit and bolt components onto the chassis as it moves along the conveyor • Wear an ESD wrist strap when handling circuit boards What we are looking for: • Basic understanding of quality checks and 5S • Previous experience on a production or assembly line preferred • Punctual with reliable attendance Full-time with occasional weekends. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
