Great opportunity: core maker (New Mexico)

Join our team: we are hiring a core maker in Valencia County, New Mexico. Day to day you will operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring. You should have: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
