Great opportunity: fire and safety officer (Iowa)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a fire and safety officer in Woodbury County, Iowa. Day-to-day duties: • Audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges • Deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors • Enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry • Run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry • Record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date Ideal candidate: • Physically fit for full-site inspections on foot • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces • Able to read and prepare RAMS and method statements At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
