MIG/MAG welder • Leelanau County, Michigan

Vacancy available: we are hiring a MIG/MAG welder in Leelanau County, Michigan. You will work at a pipe and tank fabrication yard. Requirements: • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently On the job you will handle: • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence Full-time, day shift.
