Gtaw welder • Wright County, Iowa

We are recruiting: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Wright County, Iowa. Day-to-day duties: • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion Ideal candidate: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings Part-time with flexible hours.
