Vacancy available: we are hiring a scaffolding erector in Aleutians East Borough, Alaska. You will work on a busy construction site. On the job you will handle: • Dismantle the scaffold in reverse sequence and lower materials safely • Hoist tubes, boards and fittings up by gin wheel and rope • Tighten right-angle and swivel couplers to torque with a podger spanner • Inspect couplers, boards and tubes for damage before use • Fit guardrails, mid-rails and toe boards to every working platform You should have: • Physically fit for repeated heavy lifting of tubes and boards • Able to read basic scaffold drawings • Reliable, punctual and able to work in a gang Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
