Vacancy available: we are hiring a MIG/MAG welder in Somerset County, Maine. You will be based on a structural steel site. The role involves: • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch Requirements: • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings Rotating shifts.
