Gas pipeline fitter wanted in South Gloucestershire

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a gas pipeline fitter in South Gloucestershire, England. The job is in a gas distribution network. Requirements: • Driving licence for travel between sites • Clean, methodical and safety-conscious • Valid gas fitter's licence and Gas Safe (or local) registration The role involves: • Check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray • Lay and route steel and copper gas pipe runs to the appliance points • Read isometric drawings and mark out the pipe routes • Carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply • Fit flexible connection hoses and bayonet fittings to the appliances • Run polyethylene (PE) service pipe and electrofusion-weld the joints 2+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. £17 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
