Stainless steel welder — Cabell County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Cabell County, West Virginia. You will be based at a busy fabrication workshop. Day to day you will sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks. Requirements: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work Pay around $2,000 per project, based on your experience.
