We are recruiting: we are hiring a counter butcher in Hempstead County, Arkansas. You will work at an abattoir or slaughterhouse. On a typical shift you will trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts; keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools; debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife; season and marinate meat on request; weigh, price and label cuts for the display case. You should have: • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. $4,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
