Immediate opening: we are hiring a horizontal milling machine operator in Lewis County, Tennessee. You will be based at a precision engineering workshop. On a typical shift you will deburr and finish machined edges with files and emery; apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed; measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges; carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance; hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm. Requirements: • ITI/NCVT certificate in machinist or turner trade • Willing to work rotating shifts and night shift • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron Rotating shifts.
